3D-Modelling
Exon Tech Ltd. has been developing modelling procedures to deliver new technical documents from petro-chemical installations
How?
Exon Tech Ltd. Superimpose 3D model components onto scanned data. As each component is added to the model a database is maintained and updated that lists all the added components. The database links to tables relating to piping schedules mechanical joint fixings and other technical data that enable us to maintain a full Bill of Material and cutting list as we go. The 3D models generated can then be processed to give Isometrics for each line on the plant.
Exon Tech Ltd. has developed software that takes sections and volumes from the model to produce plans sections  and elevations.
Modelling From Laser Scan
Why?

Our Clients find Benefits from this procedure in the following ways:
· On purchase of second hand plant, having full set of drawings for reconstruction
· On disposing of old plant, increasing value - saleability by providing full set of Drawings
· Updating drawings and unifying drawing formats in currently operating plants
· Full audit of assets on site down to last nut and bolt
Exon Tech Ltd. believes that it can deliver the most cost effective solution for reverse engineering plants back to isometrics, plans parts lists and P&IDs 3D piping design and  do so in a timely and accurate manner.
We have reduced the steps required to go from real plant to technical drawings as far as currently practical and are continually working on new methods to increase efficiency and accuracy.
We can also scan archive and index all historic documents on site to allow spontaneous access via PC and store originals off site.
Lastly we have a System called Asset Master that is designed to Match mark plants prior to dismantling and give full instructions for the rebuild of the plant.
We feel that the in house development of our systems has given us a significant advantage over our competitors in Cost Accuracy and deliverables.
